چکیده
Introduction: During the pharmacological stress test with dipyridamole, a normal hemodynamic response is slightly reduced blood pressure and raised heart rate (HR). However, sometimes HR reduced. This study investigated relationship between during dipyridamole severity of perfusion defects using Thallium 201 myocardial imaging. Methods: We enrolled 50 patients undergoing at nuclear cardiology Lab, Main University Hospital of Alexandria. Standard protocol (infusion over 4 min) and standard thallium (2 min after infusion) were followed. If (HR) ratio (peak HR/rest HR) was 1.20 or less, it considered response. Total defect (TPD), summed score (SSS), rest (SRS), difference (SDS) for perfusion were calculated. Patients responses compared independent predictors determined. Results: About 56% had response; which included high number history dyslipidemia diabetes mellitus. The group showed lower SSS, SRS. analysis that HR, Conclusions: Reduction in dipyridamole-induced related to defect, mellitus, Dyslipidemia.

متن کاملReduced heart rate response to dipyridamole in patients undergoing myocardial perfusion SPECT.
OBJECTIVE A mild decrease in blood pressure and increase in heart rate (HR) are considered normal hemodynamic responses to dipyridamole. In this study, we tried to investigate HR response to dipyridamole and its predictors in patients undergoing gated myocardial perfusion single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). METHODS 201 consecutive patients undergoing dipyridamole stress Tc99m-...

Introduction: We investigated correlation between the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and the severity of Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods: In this study, the RNFL thickness of 23 patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) was compared to normal controls (NCs). PD severity was assessed by the MDS-UPDRS (movement disorder society Unified Parkinson Disea...
متن کاملListening to music during ambulatory ophthalmic surgery reduced blood pressure, heart rate, and perceived stress.
Intervention Surgeons (n=2) were allocated to music (20 patients) or no music (20 patients). Patients in the music group were given stereo headphones, a cassette player, and a choice of 22 types of music (including soft hits, classical guitar, chamber music, and folk music); patients listened to their selected music during the preoperative, surgical, and postoperative periods. All patients rece...
متن کاملThe decreased oxygen uptake during progressive exercise in ischemia-induced heart failure is due to reduced cardiac output rate.
We tested the hypothesis that the inability to increase cardiac output during exercise would explain the decreased rate of oxygen uptake (VO2) in recent onset, ischemia-induced heart failure rats. Nine normal control rats and 6 rats with ischemic heart failure were studied. Myocardial infarction was induced by coronary ligation. VO2 was measured during a ramp protocol test on a treadmill using ...
